So you finished writing, song pre-production, arranging and the long process of tracking 30-million instruments for your album but now you need to get it mixed, so you can actually HEAR everything that you recorded in some kind of orderly fashion. Makes sense, that’s the logical next step en route to the final master recordings.
Well, here’s what I tell clients – we CAN mix here at Sanctus, and do a pretty decent job, especially if money is tight ’cause you spent everything on production and recording, but we prefer to connect you with outside Mixing Engineers, those mysterious sonic-wizards that have devoted their lives to making albums sound amazing. To be honest – we just spend most of our time helping artists in the writing, arranging and recording stage – so that’s what we’re best at. Makes sense.
With that said, your mixing dilemma has yet to be solved. Take heart – allow me to introduce you to Josh Auer (see photo attached). Josh is an amazing mix engineer and a vast majority of the recordings and final masters that have come through Sanctus have been mixed by him. (He’s also a really nice guy).
Answer: Check out Josh Auer’s website, drop him a line and GET THAT PROJECT MIXED!
Here’s a couple sakes of the mixing wizardry Josh has done for Sanctus Clients:
Artist: Alexis Lee; Song: Destructive; Completed in 2015
Artist: Grove Worship; Song: Amen; Completed in 2015
Artist: Garden Worship; Song: Miriam’s Song (Exodus 15); Completed in 2015
PS – Even if you don’t live in the Southern California area, Josh can mix your project remotely via the magic of the Interwebs.
